Finding Truth Time Radio in Prison (Romans 10:9 & 1 Corinthians 14:2)

Today we will answer a listener question concerning the "ye" of 1 Corinthians 3:16 and the "him" of verse 17. 
 
We will discuss who the "temple of God" is and who is the "him" that God will destroy. 
 
Paul is addressing carnal "babes" in Christ that were spiritual vegetarians on a meatless diet consisting only of milk. 
 
He warns them of those that were out to destroy the Corinthian church (the temple of God.) As members of the church which is His body, we are to beware of false teachers who are looking to fleece the flock with their misinformation and false doctrines. We must shun all profane babblers. Their vain words will only increase and eat as doth a canker. These self centered bullies defile the temple with corrupt words that only turn us away from the simplicity found in Christ. 
 
We can rest assured that we cannot be the "him" that God will destroy. We know this by reading and believing what our apostle Paul says about us:

What Does "Defile The Temple of God" Mean? (1 Corinthians 3:17)

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (Romans 1:3‭-‬4) 
 
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (Romans 4:25) 
 
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:3‭-‬4) 
 
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 
(Romans 6:8‭-‬9) 
 
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Romans 8:11)

This is a reminder of how important it is to give more attention to God's word and less attention to the word of man. God's word should always have preeminence. 
 
No matter how many times we've heard something taught as being the gospel truth, we should check and double check, to make sure. 
 
We are ALL guilty of allowing important truths to slip by us at one time or another. It can be very difficult to shake off some of the things that were ingrained into us by religion and tradition. 
 
May we all continue to "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God" as we continue to grow in grace and "come unto the knowledge of the truth."

DON'T obey Acts 2:38. It is not your gospel. 
 
Your salvation is not found in Acts 2. 
 
Acts 2 was instructions for the Jews ONLY and is why you don't obey Acts 2:45. 
 
Don't be counted among the hypocrites who snatch Acts 2:38 from its context while avoiding verse 45 like the plague. 
 
Don't be a cherry-picking hypocrite. 
 
If verse 38 is ours to follow, then why not verse 45?

Supernatural physical miracles, signs & wonders were taking place during Israel's RISE. However, Israel was partially blinded in the 1st Century (Romans 11:25) and is in a fallen state. (Romans 11:11) And those supernatural phenomenons fell with them. 
 
The church, the body of Christ is told to walk by faith, not by sight. So if you're saved, what are you looking for? We have no need for further confirmation. Our sign was a bloody cross and an empty tomb. 
 
True believers look to the gospel for their power. (Romans 1:16) In the Bible we learn that it was the Jews who required a sign (1 Corinthians 1:22) 
 
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness (vs. 23) 
 
We don't need blood moons to appear on a certain date for us to believe. God is not trying to tell us anything, He already TOLD us everything IN HIS WORD. 
 
It's just this simple. If God told us to walk by faith, not by sight, and miracles, signs and wonders are something SEEN - then they're not FOR us. 
 
You don't have to be a genius to get this.

Cessationism vs. Continualism has been an ongoing argument for many years among scores of Bible "Scholars." But the mystery is solved when we simply change our approach and decide to look at it through dispensational lenses. (Ephesians 3:2, 1 Corinthians 9:17, Colossians 1:25) 
 
Understanding the distinction of the Apostle Paul's ministry will unlock so many seemingly unanswerable questions and is the reason we have many today who think "if it happened in the Bible, then it can happen today." This sort of wrong thinking is the result of their failure to rightly divide the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) 
 
1 Corinthians 13:10 has been a problem verse for many throughout the years, but on this episode we'll see how it is referring to the Apostle Paul's "revelation of the mystery" and has nothing to do with the return of Jesus. 
 
When we read "but when that which is perfect is come" we are reading about Paul's Romans 16:25 "revelation of the mystery." 
 
And it was this revelation that brought about the completion of supernatural communication from God to man, and is why 1 Corinthians 13:8 says "whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away." 
 
The giving of knowledge by way of personal meetings or conversations with the Lord vanished away after Paul received his final revelation. 
 
We no longer have the need to have a personal encounter with God appearing to us through visions, a still small voice, dreams, angels, or by any other means to tell us anything. We've already been told and have it finished written form, making us throughly furnished, and equipped for all good works. Mankind is lacking in nothing as far as the God's word goes. The "that which is perfect" has come.

What does 2 Chronicles 7:14 Have to do With America? - NOTHING!

For some time now we've had listeners to contact us about a group who teach that "even though the world's sins were forgiven at the cross, forgiveness doesn't apply to anyone until they become a believer." 
This statement is incorrect. It should read this way, "even though the world's sins were forgiven at the cross, SALVATION doesn't apply to anyone until they become a believer." 
 
See what they've done? 
 
They have confused Forgiveness and Salvation. These two are not the same. 
 
Two separate events with two separate calendar dates. One happened more than 1900 years ago (Forgiveness.) The other happened at the moment you believed the gospel (Salvation.) 
 
After reviewing their teaching material, we decided to call them "New Reconciliationists." -Those who distort the meaning of Reconciliation. 
 
The reconciliation process is a two part deal that requires the participation of both parties. 
 
2 Corinthians 5:19 tells us that God decided to do His part to reconcile the world unto Himself. 
 
He stopped imputing (counting) sins to the world because they were placed on His Son. He took our sins! 
 
Now it's our turn. In order to be reconciled to God, we must do our part and stop working (Romans 4:5) and rest our faith in the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4.) 
 
When we do our part, the reconciliation process is complete. It's at that moment that we are saved. 
 
We don't receive forgiveness at the same time we are saved. No, that happened at the cross. What we get at the moment of our belief is SALVATION. 
 
Salvation is not believing to get your sins forgiven. It's believing they already ARE. 
 
Here's a question for the "New Reconciliationists": If no one is forgiven until they first BELIEVE, then where do children who are not yet capable of understanding and believing the gospel go when they die. 
 
If they go to Heaven, then according to the "New Reconciliationists" they go there with unforgiven sins. 
 
That's nonsensical. 
 
No one's sins, or sin nature, will be in Heaven because they were placed on Christ while He hung on the cross. 
 
Beware of the "New Reconciliationists."
