I.THE GOODNESS OF GOD and THE WICKEDNESS OF THE WICKED 
Pagkamaayo Sa Dios ug Pagkadaotan sa Makasasala 
Psalm 36:1-9

I. Introduction 
 1. Do you believe that the love of God is the most sublime? 
 2. But God abominates the wickedness of the wicked, yet He loves even the most wicked man! Jesus died for all! 
 3. What makes a man wicked? Most wicked? 
 4. What do we mean by the “GOODNESS OF GOD?” 
 
IV. CONCLUSION 
 1. Language is not able adequately to express the GOODNESS OF GOD. The greatness of God’s Goodness is of a quality other than size and surpasses any mental concept of it. But language is all that we have to convey our apprehension of truth, so that the psalmist uses material heights and depth to illustrate spiritual dimensions (cf. Eph. 3:18) and draw pictures of living needs such as parental protection and thirst’s satisfaction to symbolize the rich realities of God’s Goodness in the divine-human fellowship.

 3. The philosophical question, “If God is good, why is there evil in the world?” will be humbly discussed sometime later! 
 4. Ang pagkadaotan sa makasasala sumala sa Psalm 36:1-2. 
 Pangutana: Sigurado ba kita nga dili masupilon ang atong kasingkasing ug wala nato limbongi ang atong kaugalingon? 
 Psalm 36:2 “Kay nagtoo man siya nga hawod siya; nagtoo siya nga ang Dios dili masayod ug dili mosilot sa iyang sala.”

Psalm 115:1-3; 9:18 
1Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. 2 Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?” 3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

 1. If the living God is SOVEREIGN in our lives and we fear Him; we trust Him – we can glorify His name! Our lives may become an effective testimony to the world that our God is worthy to be praised and worshipped (Psa. 115: 16-18). 
 2. Are you trusting in “the living God” who is sovereign and gives us richly all things to enjoy? (I Tim. 6:17).

I. INTRODUCTION 
 1. The abiding security of the ‘people of God’ or a Believer is fundamentally founded on the nature and person of God and the faith of the ‘people of God’ or a Believer! Other elements of abiding security follow as a consequence. How about those who do not believe (trust) in God? (We can answer this under the topic: The Works of God). 
 2. On the nature of God, we need a little study about the essence and attributes of God. Then we will know the true God who alone is worthy of our worship. The attributes of God fall into 2 divisions: Pure Essence or Being and as an Active Being and the attributes of God as active Being is divided into two: the non-moral and the moral attributes. Then the non-moral are? The moral are? 
 3. On faith: 
 “What is faith?” asked the Sunday School teacher. A young girl answered quickly: “Believing something you know isn’t true.” 
 That many non-believers feel this way is not surprising. That many believers overtly or secretly feel this way is TRAGIC or Dreadful (makalisang). 
 “Now faith is being SURE of what we hope for and CERTAIN of what we do not see.” (Heb. 11:1, NIV). Can the girl above understand this? Is it necessary to understand the meaning faith so that we may believe? 
 “Busa ang pagtoo naggikan sa PAGPAMATI sa mensahe ug ang nabati naggikan sa Pulong ni 
 Cristo.” Ug sa Acts 16:31-32: 
 31 “saligi ang Ginoong Jesus, ug maluwas ka lakip ang imong panimalay.” 32 Unya siya ug ang 
 tanang sakop sa iyang panimalay GIWALIHAN sa pulong sa Dios.” 
 As we study today, Psalm 125:1-3, I pray that the Holy will teach us who is the God who can give us abiding security, stability and protection and what is God’s only basis for affording us this abiding security. 
 
II. WHAT ARE THE PROMISES OF GOD ON THE BASIS OF Psalm 125:1-3? 
 
 
CONCLUSION: 
 1. Who is the object of our faith? 
 The true God – the LORD is the only object of our who can promise us abiding security. To have faith on anyone else or in anything else is disastrous. When it comes to your salvation, only Jesus Christ is worthy of your faith. 
 Our faith is as valuable as the object of our faith. 
 “Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion which cannot be shaken. . .” Psalm 125:1 
 2. Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord? In Him alone is our abiding security rests.
