HOPE WHICH WE HAVE AS AN ANCHOR  TEXT: Hebrews 6:18-20

Jesus is the Messiah already come in His First Coming. This is the Good News for you today. The purpose of Christ's First Coming into this world was to save sinners. The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus will be to judge the living and the dead. The Second Coming for Christ's people means that His people will be with the Lord Jesus forever in the New Heaven and the New Earth.

Luke 7:17-23  ARE YOU THE COMING ONE?

Here is a great encouragement for God's beloved. This great encouragement is not without warning. The writer was persuaded concerning true Christian believers and addressed them as beloved. Four questions are asked by Pastor Elisha John in this message: 
1. What is to be persuaded? 
2. What are these better things? 
3. Why persuaded? 
4. How must this affect us as God's beloved?

BETTER THINGS FOR GOD&#39;S BELOVED   Hebrews 6:9 -11  We are persuaded!

What are you building your life upon? Jesus says, "Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is a like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock, and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock." (Luke 6:47-48 AV) 
But there is another man, who once having heard the Word of Christ, did nothing. Jesus likens him to ",,, a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great." Verse 49. So don't be like this man.

Why call Me Lord, Lord?  Luke 6:46-49

We read in Luke 5:20, "And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee." (AV) 
Jesus healed this paralysed man's soul first before He healed his body. There are great lessons to be learnt from this account on Faith in Christ, the forgiveness of sins, the One who forgives sins and has authority to forgive sins. Pastor Elisha John in this message has brought out three very important lessons for us. The question is: Do you know Christ and do you know (verse 24) "....that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins..."

Jesus heals the Centurion's servant. Luke 7:1-10

Dr Luke writes "Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with diverse diseases brought them unto Him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them." Luke 4:40. Prior to this, Jesus had already delivered a demon possessed man and had already healed Peter's mother-in-law with high and persistent temperature. We learn about the genuine love and compassion of Jesus the Messiah. Jesus sets the priority right for us as we look at the concluding verses of Luke chapter 4. Jesus read Isaiah 61:1-2a in the synagogue of Nazareth. He applied this Scripture to Him as fulfilled in Him. This well known prophecy by the prophet Isaiah in the 8th century B.C. foretold what Christ, the Messiah would do as the Suffering Servant of his people. Listen this message for yourself. If you are not saved, then to-day is the day for you! Jesus is coming soon to judge the living and the dead and take His people to be with Him forever. 
Jesus made references to two prophets, Elijah and Elisha. Those accounts can be read: 
Elijah in 1-Kings chapter 17:8-24 
Elisha in 2-Kings 5:1-14
