A Church Without Walls was founded to share the Word of God with anyone who hungers to know God and the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. We labor to simply teach the Word of God simply. And we try to live our lives in honor of Him and to be obedient to Him; as it is written: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27) So, our mission statement is to: Love God, Love Others, and be a Servant to ALL!
A Church Without Walls was established to reach those who cannot attend a church for whatever reason, it is not meant to replace your church as we sound not forsake the fellowship of the saints (Hebrews 10:25) So, if you hunger for the Word of God and you are concerned with the what’s going on in the world today…join us as we search God’s Word for answers. 


A Church Without Walls

Jesus calls her over to Him…and with a word He says, “you are freed,” or some of your translations says, “you are loosed.” 
And then He lays His hands on her…those same hands that had given sight to the blind, given life to the dead, and had cleansed the leper… 
Those same hands…that would be pierced for the sins of mankind…healed her and made her straight again. 
There was absolutely nothing she could do…there was nothing the physicians could do…to heal her….to make her straight. 
Only Jesus…there is only one way to be healed from whatever is keeping you bound…and that is Jesus! 
And she worships and glorifies God immediately…praising God is the first thing on her lips because praising God was always on her mind.

Luke 13:10-35 "Only One Way" 7 31 22

Nevertheless, is a powerful word… 
In English it means “in spite of.” 
In Hebrew it means “ceasing,” “an end to,” “finality.” 
In Greek it means “a transition into something new.” 
The word nevertheless can have a positive or a negative connotation. 
And we have an example of how the word works in both the Hebrew and Greek. 
In Numbers 13 we read: 
And showed them the fruit of the land. 27 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. (Numbers 13:26-27) 
As the spies Moses sent into the Land of Promise to give a report…came back…they said the land is all God said it would be. 
It was flowing with milk and honey, and it had plenty of fruit. 
But then they said this: 
Nevertheless, the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there. (Numbers 13:28) 
That one word…nevertheless…brought an end to what God wanted to do with the children of Israel in the Promised land… 
They were on a journey from Egypt to the Promised Land…and that one word caused that journey to cease… 
As that generation would not enter the Promised Land at all…they would die in the desert. 
And Joshua and Caleb would lead the next generation from age 19 to the youngest into the Promised Land. 
We find the word nevertheless in the New Testament Greek as a positive response. 
After fishing all night and not catching anything Jesus told Peter to: 
“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” (Luke 5:4) 
So, Peter responds: 
“Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.” (Luke 5:5) 
Nevertheless…in this case it was transitioning into something new. 
Peter obeyed and his obedience transitioned into a blessing of so many fish the boat almost sank. 
The word nevertheless has the power to change everything…it has the power to change us as individuals and as a church. 
It has the power to cease what God is doing in your life because of your disobedience or lack of faith… 
Or, it has the power to transition your life from defeat to victory!

Nevertheless, is a powerful word…

How could his kingdom possibly stand if demons were acting in a way that would be counter intuitive to the plan of Satan? 
Satan’s kingdom would be divided, weakened, and would fall like any other institution where there was division. 
How can a family stand together…unified as one…if someone in the family is causing division? 
How can a church stand together…unified as one…if someone in the church is causing division? 
How can a company stand together…unified as one…if someone in the company is causing division? 
And how can a nation stand together…unified as one…if there is division among the people of that nation?

Now even though God himself had said that He had given the land to Judah… 
They still wanted the tribe of Simeon (Who is the half-brother of Judah BTW), to help them take the land. 
It shows that the tribe of Judah were not totally trusting in the promises and strength of God… 
And this will mark the beginning of the downward spiral Israel will fall into… 
Not trusting God, turning from Him to idols, and doing as they pleased…would become a vicious cycle for Israel. 
And because of their lack of faith, they would fail to do what the Lord had sent them to do…to completely drive the inhabitants of the Promised Land out! 
That lack of faith in the promises of God led them to look to their own strength and numbers to gain victory. 
And, God, true to His promise gave them victory, they would take the land… The land God promised to Abraham and his descendants. 
But as you will see…they would not drive the Canaanite peoples completely out. 
And that would cause many problems of the Israelites.

Judges 1:5-36 “Wholehearted Trust!” vs5 6 8 22

Remember this man is all about keeping the letter of the law…he wants eternal life…many of the Pharisees and scribes were obsessed with the subject of eternal life. 
They poured over the Scriptures looking for the answer…but the scribe already had the answer… 
Love God with your whole being and love your neighbor as you would want to be loved. 
These two commandments have been called the “Great Commandment.” 
They are found in the law this scribe studied all day long…he would have read to the love God in Deuteronomy 6:4-5…and to love your neighbor in Leviticus 19:18. 
When Jesus was asked, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 
He responded by saying: 
“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40) 
These are the two pillars that hold together the Ten Commandments… 
The first 4 commandments are about loving God…and the last 6 are about loving others. 
Jesus was telling the Scribes and Pharisees…that all the 613 laws that they have been searching…all the prophets you have been studying…are wrapped up into these two commandments 
Love God with your all…Love your neighbor as yourself! 
Both BTW is impossible without the Spirit of the living God dwelling in you.

The people recognized that the Kingdom of Heaven had come to earth…and they humbly confessed and repented of their sin… 
While the Pharisees and scribes placed their hope in the law. 
And sadly because of their refusal to repent…they would never know…or rejoice in…the finished work on the cross… 
They would never know salvation through faith in the Messiah. 
One way we know we are saved and are heirs to the kingdom of heaven is that we rejoice in knowing Jesus as Lord… 
And we rejoice in the finished work on the cross…because it means eternal life for us.

Luke 10 :21-24 "To Know God" 2022 05 22 10 39 01

Listen, it is important to know how the enemy attacks so we can recognize his attacks and pray against them. 
What follows are eight (8) ways the enemy attacks us. 
Jesus, Peter, James, and John were on the mountain…they had a mountain top experience. 
And any time you spend time on the mountain with the Lord…you must come down to the valley… 
Maybe that is why Peter wanted to stay on the mountain with Jesus, Moses, and Elijah. 
Because when you come down to the valley Satan is waiting there to attack you and ruin that glorious experience you just had. 
That is what we see here…as soon as they come down…the enemy is waiting.

Paul wrote: 
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 NLT) 
Nothing (do you know what that word means in Greek?) it means NOTHING…

The two thieves crucified next to Jesus have always fascinated me. 
They have always represented for me…the simplicity of the decision. 
The decision to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior…or not to. 
And what better time to look at that decision…then on the day that we celebrate His resurrection. 
You see, in the end…and that is what we get a glimpse of here…the end of the lives of these two men. 
At the very end…all the excuses as to why you can’t, or you won’t acknowledge Jesus as Lord really doesn’t matter. 
It comes down to a simple yes or no answer. 
When you are standing in the presence of the King, and He opens the book of life…its either yes, your name is written there…or no…it isn’t. 
There are no excuses written next to your name, no reasons you did not acknowledge Jesus as Lord…it’s just yes or no.

Luke 23:39-43 "The Promise" 2022 04 17 10 32 20

Daniel had confidence in God that He would be acceptable to the king at the end of the ten-day trial period of just eating vegetables. 
What does that look like from our perspective…to have confidence/trust in God? 
The prophet Jeremiah wrote: 
Blessed is the one who trusts in Adonai, whose confidence is in Adonai. For he will be like a tree planted by the waters, spreading out its roots by a stream. It has no fear when heat comes, but its leaves will be green. It does not worry in a year of drought, nor depart from yielding fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8) 
It does not fear the drought because its roots go deep down to the source of the water. 
It does not fear the heat will turn its leaves brown because it is constantly flushed with living water. 
And it will always produce fruit because its roots are rooted in the rich soil of the stream…drawing its nutrients from this rich source. 
The application for us nearly jumps off the page…when we are rooted deep in God’s Word… 
All the nutrients we need to grow are contained in His Word…His Word is the living water that keeps us from drying up spiritually… 
And it is because we are deeply planted in His Word…we can bear fruit even when the heat of trials in our lives gets turned up. 
Listen…I cannot stress this enough; we must put our trust in God and not lean on our own understanding. 
We belong to our Lord…He purchased our freedom at a great price…and because we belong to Him… 
No matter how good we take care of ourselves (and we should), no matter how cautious we are (and we should be to a certain extent) … 
If God wants us home…He will call us home and no matter how many masks you wear or how many vaccines you receive, no matter how much you social distance… 
When He wants us home…we are going home and not one second before. 
To lean on God…and not on our own understanding is to trust in God even when we cannot comprehend what He is doing.

And it warns them of not only what will happen during the Tribulation… 
It warns them that time is running out to repent. 
In a sense, for all those who hear this message…if you have not surrendered your life and submitted your will to Jesus… 
Time is running out for you as well as many of us have more time behind us than we do in front of us… 
The time to turn from your sin and turn to Jesus is now…before it is everlasting too late! 
But for the people alive at the time of the Tribulation there is a dire warning issued…a warning that if you step over this line… 
And that line is the worship of the beast and his image, and the taking of the mark of the beast.

Once it was determined that the kinsman redeemer could pay the price…and was willing to agree to the terms… 
A title was drawn up listing the price and the terms of the redemption...and two copies were made. 
One copy was kept open in the temple so that anyone who wanted to read it…could. 
The other was rolled up and sealed with seven seals and was brought out only when the kinsman redeemer was ready to settle the debt. 
When the kinsman redeemer paid the debt…the scroll was opened, the terms of the redemption were read…and the debt was settled. 
So, the kinsman redeemer had to be a close relative…which Jesus fits... 
Jesus came to this earth as one of us: 
And the Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) 
But made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:7) 
He also qualifies as our Kinsman Redeemer because He is family: 
Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. 12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” (Hebrews 2:11-12) 
Jesus fits the picture of the Kinsman Redeemer perfectly…the debt owed for the payment of sin…is death. 
Jesus became sin on the cross and there paid the price for the sin of man with His blood. 
So, Jesus…a close relative, who was willing and able to pay the price of the debt to set us free… 
Is about to be handed the sealed scroll so the terms can be revealed… 
Notice the scroll God holds in His hand…is sealed with seven seals just like the deed to a piece of property to be redeemed… 
They are the terms set forth for the earth to be taken from the hand of Satan and restored to its Creator.
