Without question, the most influential book in the history of mankind is the Bible. It has been translated into more languages than any other book; it has endured countless human attempts for its extinction; it has shaped laws and lands and peoples in ways no other book has. I believe with the Apostle Paul that all Scripture exists because God breathed it into existence (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Further, I believe that the Bible exists to greatly profit a man--not to hinder him as culture often suggests. Being that this book claims its divine origin, it demands great care and attention when seeking to unfold its meaning and subsequent application for Christians today. This channel exists to study the Bible in a very particular fashion called "exegesis." Exegesis is from a Greek word, meaning "to lead/guide out." As such, to study the Bible exegetically is to allow it to speak rather than speaking into it. While this Bible student is imperfect, I hope we can learn more of God together.
