Jan. 13, 2013 - (FULL) -- "We have no need for a dead Messiah," says the devout Jew today. In counter-Christian missionary seminars, Rabbis give instruction to Jewish followers that Christians had to search frantically the Old Testament Scriptures to find something they could use that justified a dead man's claim to being the Messiah.

Yet, is such a frantic and desperate search really necessary? Or, is the Old Testament filled with very detailed prophecies of the coming Christ, His awful death, and His resurrection to glory?

Join us in Isaiah 53 for this study of God's Anointed One, Jesus, our Lord and Messiah: Jehovah's Suffering Servant.

I would encourage any of those watching this series to take time to view Dr. John MacArthur's 10-part series on Isaiah 53 beginning with "The Astonishing Servant," or his more recent (condensed) 3-part messages on the same passage titled "The Gospel Preaching of Isaiah".
