How do we forgive someone who has deeply hurt us? How do we forgive the vilest of offenses? How do we forgive the unthinkable? We can learn a lot from Jesus.

We can forgive the unimaginable because Jesus forgave us. When Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing,” who was included in “they?” The solders? Judas? Pilate? All the Jewish leaders? Do you know who else was included in that prayer? You and I. Scripture teaches that all have sinned (Romans 3:23). We are no different from those who have hurt us.

Would you like to be like Jesus? Start by forgiving those who have hurt you so deeply.

It is possible to forgive like Jesus did!
