This passage presents such a beautiful cause and effect blueprint for our lives: If we deny ourselves, die to self, and persevere in our journey of faith with Christ, we have the assurance of a peaceful and victorious life both now and for eternity.

Above all, the most heart touching promise that has encouraged and comforted my downcast and fallen self countless times, is that even though I may be faithless and disloyal to Him with my love of sin, He remains faithful to me!
Because faithfulness is His unchanging character.
He cannot stop being who He is.
