In order to move forward sometimes we must go back. Back to our roots or back to a certain time in our life that caused us to go off course. In this passage Moses is now commissioned by God to go back to Egypt. After running from the Pharaoh for nearly forty years, Moses is set to begin the life's work and ministry God has called him to. Unknowingly, he was prepared in Midian by his father-in-law Jethro and equipped by God on Mt. Horeb. What we learn from this passage is that sometimes God allows us to stay in places and position for seasons of time in order to equip us with the necessary tools to fulfill our life's work.
