Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him (1 John 5:1).

KEY CONCEPT

We can believe and have confidence in God’s love for us.

KEY MESSAGE

We love God because He loved us first.
If we love God, we should show love for other people.
Because we love God, we obey and keep His commandments.

MESSAGE AIMS

Learning Facts: To appreciate that the Father showed His love for us by sending His Son. To know that God’s love overcomes all.

Biblical Principle: To understand why “there is no fear in love.”
Daily Application: To demonstrate consistent love to God and to others.
