This week, we continue our series in Esther by looking at the first 18 verses of Esther 2. it is in this passage that we see Esther's ascension to the queen's throne in Persia; and, as we look at this story, we will see how God is still at work even in the midst of the brokenness surrounding Esther and Mordecai. Specifically, I think this passage shows us that, in order to be faithful in a broken world, we must trust that God is is providentially working in the midst of, and even through, that brokenness; we must strive to faithfully reconcile our faith with the culture; and we must give ourselves over fully to Christ.
