Genesis 47:27-31 – This is the 87th in a series of messages through the Book of Genesis preached at Island Baptist Church in Beach Haven, NJ. Visit us on the web at www.hopeoflbi.com.
Everyone you know has a vision of what his or her life could look like when it’s all over. By nature, human beings typically don’t do things without the hope of reaching a finish line of some sort. We bake with the finish line of the pie in mind, we go to work with the finish line of the paycheck in mind, or we read a book with the anticipation of the finish line. Our lives too are primarily lived with a self-constructed finish line in view, made up of what we hope to have achieved or to have become by the time our race is over. If you hope to finish your race well, you will want to listen to this message from the Book of Genesis.
