“Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your saviour, your guide? If He is, you don't need to search any further for security.” ― Elisabeth Elliot
Before David becomes king, the Psalmist pens Psalm 34 and comes to a close with a gentle reminder, “Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.” Psalm 34:21-22 NASB
God’s Word Promises:

“When you accept the fact that sometimes seasons are dry and times are hard and that God is in control of both, you will discover a sense of divine refuge, because the hope then is in God and not in yourself.” -Charles R. Swindoll
May God become the object of our souls’ desires. Jesus is our living Hope and Our Heavenly Father still holds the whole world in His hands. When we take refuge in God, the posture of our hearts bows low so He may lifted High. Refuge is found in Jesus Christ. By His blood, we are rescued, redeemed, and healed.
“...and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NASB)
“I have experienced His presence in the deepest hell that man can create. I have really tested the promises of the Bible, and believe me, you can count on them.” — Corrie ten Boom
