The Lord reminds us today that we are called out, separate from the world. Because of that, the Body of Christ needs to realize how important it is that we live lives separate from the world. The Body of Christ needs to make sure it isn't trying to act like the world. look like the world, and talk like the world in order to "save" the world, because the world cannot be saved by the world. The world must be drawn to the Light of Christ, not the darkness of the world.
