Here's a scripture song I put together back in December of 1987. We were visiting some friends in Florida for Christmas and I felt an urge to compose a scripture song, so I found this passage in Psalm 92 and thought it would make a good song (of course it's already a song, but you know what I mean). Since tomorrow's Thanksgiving Day, I thought I'd share it with you this evening. Here's hoping none of us eats too much tomorrow, but that we can all find something to be thankful about, and give God the glory!

It is good to give thanks unto the Lord,
And to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High:
To show forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning,
And Thy faithfulness every night,

Upon an instrument of ten strings,
And upon the psaltery;
Upon the harp with solemn sound;
Upun the harp with solemn sound.

It is good to give thanks unto the Lord,
And to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High:
For Thou, Lord, hast made me glad through Thy works:
I will triumph in the works of Thy hands.

O Lord, how great are Thy works!
And Thy thoughts are very deep.
A brutish man knoweth not;
Neither doth a fool understand this.

It is good to give thanks unto the Lord,
And to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High:
To show forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning,
And Thy faithfulness every night.
