The verse that became the foundation of my faith and kick starter song of my Scripture song era…
This was the first verse that opened my eyes and made me realize that I had a loving heavenly Father to whom I was a very precious daughter. The words put worth in me for the first time in my life three years ago.
Then, following this turning point of my life, I picked up my guitar, strummed the only three chords that I knew, got inspired by Dad with a melody, and began to sing.
(Composed on winter 2012/early 2013)

You are much loved,

“[Music] is a precious gift of God . . . made to serve a holy purpose, to lift the thoughts to that which is pure, noble, and elevating, and to awaken in the soul devotion and gratitude to God. There are few means more effective for fixing His words in the memory than repeating them in song. And such song has wonderful power. Music forms a part of God’s worship in the courts above, and we should endeavor, in our songs of praise, to approach as nearly as possible to the harmony of the heavenly choirs." (Messages to Young People, Ellen White)

"⁶Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." (Psalm 150)
“ⁱ⁹speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5)

What better way to praise God than from His own Word?
