Many use this verse to imply a pre-tribulation rapture of the church. That is not what this verse is implying. Even if it were referring to wrath here on this earth (tribulation), it does not show us that we will not BE HERE. He can divinely protect those that are His, just like the Hebrews during the plagues, Noah during the flood, Daniel in the Lion's den, his friends in the fiery furnace!
