Many things in the Bible bewildered me. And one of the questions that often baffle me is the question of pain and suffering, the storms of life. Why did God allow Christians to experience tremendous pain and suffering? If God loves us so much, why life is so hard? If God is powerful, why did he allow suffering? Why did my parents get divorced? Why did my family member die of coronavirus? Why did my sister get raped? Why did I lose my job? Why is following Jesus so hard? This is the question that our text is dealing with. And this is very important for all of us. When we play part in the gospel movement, we are not exempted from the storms of life. Christians will face the storms of life.
