In Philippians 4:6 the Apostle Paul tells the Philippians not to be anxious. Now they had good reasons to be anxious since they were facing persecution from the Roman authorities! Nevertheless Paul told them how to overcome their fears and so can we.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV
