Since chapter 6 we’ve been waiting for the full number of the redeemed to be sealed, and here we see the multitude who have come out of the ‘great tribulation.’ To what is this referring? A time yet to come? A season of persecution in the first century? Or perhaps a description of what God’s people go through continuously?

The lamb breaks the final seal on this mysterious scroll and we’re almost ready to hear what’s inside.

I’ll try and provide biblical references I couldn’t cover in the 7-minute format here. If you want to ponder these, I’d love to hear your insights and questions in the comments!
