What do you call someone who has a burning zeal to see the Gospel proclaimed among the nations, and who has the desire to be sent out to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth? Of course, today we call that person a “missionary.” But, is there a category for someone who doesn't become a "missionary" but who has that same burning zeal to see the Gospel proclaimed among the nations, and who shares the desire to spend their life and resources reaching the unreached with the truth about Christ? Yes of course, we call that person a...“CHRISTIAN.” The idea that “missions” is an optional “program” in the Church, where Christians are free to opt in or out, is a myth with no basis in the Bible. The mission of God is the work of every person of God, and Christians are the people set apart by God for the purpose of God on the earth. Join us this Sunday as we look closely at the first missionary journey of the Apostle Paul, as he set the Church afire to complete, “The Mission of God.”
