Today we will study how Paul says the lovers of themselves will not succeed. We have to be encouraged that sometimes the danger is more apparent than real which scares many of us. We have to keep our faith in God and in promises understanding that God knew this time would come and we have been prepared to withstand and stand.

Many people say God is not fair for the wrong reasons. People say God is not fair for the things that may happen to them or situations they find themselves in because of their decisions. When things happen wrong because of choices people blame God. And when people don't blame God they blame other people. The people of God in captivity were blaming God for punishing them for the sins of their fathers. God communicated to them that it was their own actions and choices that got them in the situation they were in. we should never blame others for our circumstances when we have a choice to control ourselves and follow God through Jesus.

God is not fair in the eyes of man. God is not fair in the eyes of man because God holds mankind accountable for sin. Especially, those who have answered the Gospel and know better but do not do better. The world craves revenge while God craves repentance and love of Him and one another.

Jesus told the disciples their sorrow would be turned into joy. Joy is something that comes from God and not mere men. We have to be able to endure the sorrow that comes from telling the truth so that we can have joy with God. We must confront people with the truth so that they can come to sorrowful repentance. Sorrowful repentance is Godly repentance and reconciles people to God.
