Identifying the beauty of a person, place or thing is subjective depending on the person. Still, our world has been obsessed with beauty for more than a century now. More favor and opportunities are given to the beautiful, which is why more people are striving to be more beautiful. But what does the Bible say?

There are two instances in the Scriptures where beauty was not the priority. When the Prophet Samuel was looking at David and sees that he’s just a boy, God told him that it was he whom He chose. That’s because He looks at the heart.

Another instance is in the Book of Proverbs as the writer describes a virtuous woman. No physical features or attributes were given importance in the passage, but only her character and loyalty to God. What other verses talk about beauty?
