Humility is a character trait that is admired and respected by many. Why? Because it is very hard to do. Sometimes when you achieve something and you get praised or commended, you just can’t help but to be proud of what you accomplished. In itself, there is nothing wrong with it. The problem lies when we start to think so highly of ourselves that we think we are better than others.
The Bible gives a stern warning about pride, as it is the original sin of the Devil when he wanted to take the throne of heaven for himself. Nothing good comes from a heart that is full of pride. It will only lead to conflict and afterward, destruction.
