Introduction 
- “I think I am very humble as a person!” 
- “You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot 
in Asia, serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me 
through the plots of the Jews.” - Acts 20:18-19 
 
I. Paul’s Perception of His Mandate (20:17-19) 
 - His Motives Defended - His Manner Declared 
 A. Mandate to Preach the Gospel (Rom 1:14-15) 
 - 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 
 B. Mandate to Preach to all (Rom 1:14-15) 
 
II. Paul’s Perception of His Message 
 A. The Power of God unto Salvation (Rom 1:16) 
 B. The Power of God to all who believe 
 -"testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ." 
 
Conclusion 
God is counting on us. 
 - I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish… I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.

Introduction 
- Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it to light. - George Washington 
- Some people think that faith in leaping into the unknown. That really is half truth. The whole truth is that faith in leaping into the God who knows all, who is all truth. 
 
A. Truth will Proceed with Love 
 - Someone once defined a Christian as; Completely fearless, Continually cheerful, and Constantly in trouble. 
 1. His Devotion for the Macedonians - They are like taking their first steps and Paul was concern for them 
 2. His Desire to help Jerusalem Christians 
 3. His Determination to go to Rome 
 
B. Truth will Prevail with time 
 i. God will defend his truth. - We only preach what God has called us to preach. The rest is for God to defend His truth. 
 ii. Gospel has prevailed through time. - Greater is the urgency to share the good news of Jesus Christ today. 
 
Conclusion 
- Truth travelled in Time 
- Tested in Love

B. 真理终将得胜 
 i. 上帝会捍卫祂的真理。 - 我们只需传讲上帝呼召我们传的道，其余的就交托上帝。上帝必捍卫祂的真理。 
 ii.时光流逝，福音却早已得胜。 - 如今当务之急是与人分享耶稣基督的好消息。

How do you define faith in Christ? 
 
A. Faith that was Recognized 
 i. The Faithfulness of men 
 - It began with 12 men who were faithful to the Word and the preaching of the gospel. 
 ii. Their Faith recognized 
 - Extraordinary miracles happened by God through the apostles 
 
B. Faith that was Refuted 
 i. Even the devil recognized it 
 - “Jesus I know, Paul I recognized, but who are you?” 
 ii. the devil refuted it 
 - “the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them…” 
 
C. Faith that was Real 
 - Faith is believing in the head and trusting in the heart. 
 - Faith is evident by one’s commitment 
 
Conclusion 
God is looking for men and women who are faithful, whose faith is real. Is yours real?
