Micah announces a ruler is coming! And not just any ruler, but a completely different kind of ruler who would bring a glorious future to all who believe in and follow Him.

Micah 3:1-12: Leaders Needed

Thomas Jefferson said, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.” He said those words almost 250 years ago, and Hosea said much the same thing over 2700 years ago about Israel. 
 
Hosea tells us that it’s time to seek the Lord. God is a God of love and forgiveness, but for those who just won’t repent over having pushed God out of their lives, the only thing that can be left for them is that the sin is harvested.

Bible study teachers who would like to lead an interactive Bible study can use this outline and lesson description as part of their preparation. This lesson covers the last five verses of the second chapter and the first five verses of the third chapter of Paul's second letter to the church in Thessalonica. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 - 3:5: Yes! and Go!

The subject of the last part of chapter four was the rapture and how that affects both “those who are asleep” speaking of the believers who had died, and “we who are alive.” “Now” (5:1) Paul turns to instructions for the believers regarding the day of the Lord. There is a change in subject. There is also a change in tone from the hope expressed in 4:13-18, to judgment in this section. As stated before, the Bible teaches that the coming of Jesus will be the most glorious day ever for believers and a very bad period of time for non-believers. This is the other side of the coin, so to speak. 
 
In chapter five we will see that Jesus will return as He promised

The coming of Jesus is known as the greatest story ever told. Part of the greatest story ever told is the promise of his return to come and get his holy people. 
 
The promised return of Christ gives hope. It gives hope in our grieving the death of another believer. Jesus will return in His full glory to gather all the believers throughout all time for eternity. The certainty of that promise should give us encouragement of our position in Christ, and it should also motivate us to share our faith with great urgency. 
 
We’re also going to see a small part of what that looks like for the unbelievers.
