Encouraging Words with Burt Campbell  - Genesis 21:6-7

In Isaiah 58, the prophet cried out for a real heart change among the people. They were good at putting on a religious show, but not so good at truly living a life of care and mercy. So, the Lord called them to change their ways by lovingly sharing with the hungry, clothing the poor, and working to help those in need. He then promised to meet our own needs as we call upon Him. God doesn’t look to bless the perfect, but those who know they need Him. Let’s call upon Him today, even as we serve others with the same love He gives to us.

It was the day that Jesus rose from the grave and His disciples could hardly believe their eyes. Despite all that had taken place at the cross, there He was right in front of them. They wanted so much to believe but they had genuine doubts and nagging questions. Jesus invited them to come find the answers. When we have our doubts, He also invites us to draw near to Him. Keep asking, keep searching, keep looking, and keep trusting. Jesus has real answers to give!

The adversity they faced was overwhelming. But there is no night so dark, no wind so strong, and no wave so high that it can keep Jesus away. No matter what is happening around you, He is with you! And He is the Savior.
