Cause and Effect is a universally experienced truth, and yet many times, we still fail to remember that the effects of sin is always tragic. Today, we'll wrap up our MINI-SERIES on the character study of Laban. As we dwell on the lessons we learn from this character, our hope and prayer is that we pray and ask God to reveal to us our own sinful tendencies and help us to see ourselves rightly, repent of our sins, and turn back to Christ.

Some people try to get what they want and will do whatever it takes. By hook or by crook, come hell or high water, do or die, they must achieve their goals. For them, the end justifies the means. These are dangerous mindsets, and we may have some of these mindsets as well. It is always good and healthy to be reminded of these warnings and to be aware about the "marks" of manipulative people so that we can either avoid them or repent of them.

Many times, we as christians mess up and our testimonies can get incredibly embarrassing, especially when witnessed by unbelievers. How do we respond to such situation? How does God redeem us from such moments? Are there ways for us to handle such moments that still point to the gospel and the glory of Christ?

So many people are triggered today because of things that seem to be truly scandalous. If you close your eyes for a few seconds and try to think of the top 3 most scandalous things, your mind would probably think of vulgar sins. And yet, if we look at the bible, there is nothing more scandalous as our sins against a holy God, except God's more scandalous love and mercy for sinners like you and me. 
 
This sermon has a message for both the Christian and the non-Christian on what it means to be overwhelmingly loved despite our most shameful abuses against a scandalously gracious Holy, Perfect, and Righteous God.

This is one factor for why most churches today have no formal membership. Others, on the other hand, commit themselves to local churches but only if their pastors agree with them. 
 
What does the Bible really teach about church Elders and Members? How are Elders supposed to lead churches? And are Members really expected to submit to church Elders? If so, in what areas of their lives? 
 
This is both a sermon and a lecture on the divine calling and roles that God has for His people - both Elders AND Members.
