It is those who venture out into the unfamiliar and unpredictable that see the deeds and wonderous works of the Lord. The Lord is working in our lives to bring us to wits end. To bring us to experience the complete insufficiency of self-sufficiency so that He might be our sufficiency. When you find yourself at wits end, cry out to Him for His love for you is never ending and He will bring you through the storms of life.

"At Wits End" Psalm 107:24-31

Romans 14 has a lot to say to the believer about not thinking of ourselves first but thinking about what is best for others. We don't live for ourselves because we are not our own but Christ. Therefore it only makes sense that we pursue what brings about peace in the church and what builds others up.

Let us be Grateful Hebrews 12:28-29

Give Thanks for He is Good Psalm 118:28-29

Look at this verse through a New Covenant lens. We don't have to worry about the what or the where of the will of God. The will of God is a "who." It's Jesus and He's given us His Spirit to lead us, guide us, live His life through us. When we experience His presence we experience great joy. We have the incredible privilege of living in Him and having Him live in us. So, we are never alone and we have the promise He will never leave us or forsake us. That is a life full of pleasure!

Joy in His Presence Psalm 16:11

We have an incredible privilege to live in the presence of God. To seek His face is to simply live in His presence. To experience intimacy with Him. We need to be careful that we don't allow our affections to be distracted by other loves because true intimacy isn't to be shared.

There are times when Jesus says things that are very challenging to us. The evidence of true discipleship is our willingness to respond in surrender to His Lordship. When we receive Christ He comes to live within us that He might live His life through us. We don't live by an external code but in a responsive relationship with God. This is our freedom and our great joy.

What is to make us unique as the children of God? We are called to be those who love, not just those who love us but to our enemies. The Christian is to have a completely different world view in the way the way they live in the world. We are the children of God who is kind to those who are ungrateful and evil and He desires to express that kindness through His children.

Two of John the Baptist disciples begin to follow Jesus and He ask them, "What are you seeking?" All the knew was that John the Baptist had proclaimed Him to be the Lamb of God and after their encounter with Jesus they know He's the Messiah. Jesus is the answer to all that you are seeking in life.
