20 그가 또 조각목으로 성막에 세울 널판들을 만들었으니 21 각 판의 길이는 열 규빗, 너비는 한 규빗 반이며 22 각 판에 두 촉이 있어 서로 연결하게 하였으니 성막의 모든 판이 그러하며 23 성막을 위하여 널판을 만들었으되 남으로는 남쪽에 널판이 스무 개라 
20 They made upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle. 21 Each frame was ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide, 22 with two projections set parallel to each other. They made all the frames of the tabernacle in this way. 23 They made twenty frames for the south side of the tabernacle 
 
24 그 스무 개 널판 밑에 은 받침 마흔 개를 만들었으되 곧 이 널판 밑에도 두 받침이 그 두 촉을 받게 하였고 저 널판 밑에도 두 받침이 그 두 촉을 받게 하였으며 25 성막 다른 쪽 곧 북쪽을 위하여도 널판 스무 개를 만들고 26 또 은 받침 마흔 개를 만들었으니 곧 이 판 밑에도 받침이 둘이요 저 판 밑에도 받침이 둘이며 
24 and made forty silver bases to go under them—two bases for each frame, one under each projection. 25 For the other side, the north side of the tabernacle, they made twenty frames 26 and forty silver bases—two under each frame. 
 
27 장막 뒤 곧 서쪽을 위하여는 널판 여섯 개를 만들었고 28 장막 뒤 두 모퉁이 편을 위하여는 널판 두 개를 만들되 29 아래에서부터 위까지 각기 두 겹 두께로 하여 윗고리에 이르게 하고 두 모퉁이 쪽을 다 그리하며 30 그 널판은 여덟 개요 그 받침은 은 받침 열여섯 개라 각 널판 밑에 두 개씩이었더라 
27 They made six frames for the far end, that is, the west end of the tabernacle, 28 and two frames were made for the corners of the tabernacle at the far end. 29 At these two corners the frames were double from the bottom all the way to the top and fitted into a single ring; both were made alike. 30 So there were eight frames and sixteen silver bases—two under each frame. 
 
31 그가 또 조각목으로 띠를 만들었으니 곧 성막 이쪽 널판을 위하여 다섯 개요 32 성막 저쪽 널판을 위하여 다섯 개요 성막 뒤 곧 서쪽 널판을 위하여 다섯 개며 33 그 중간 띠를 만들되 널판 중간 이 끝에서 저 끝에 미치게 하였으며 34 그 널판들을 금으로 싸고 그 널판에 띠를 꿸 금 고리를 만들고 그 띠도 금으로 쌌더라 
31 They also made crossbars of acacia wood: five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle, 32 five for those on the other side, and five for the frames on the west, at the far end of the tabernacle. 33 They made the center crossbar so that it extended from end to end at the middle of the frames. 34 They overlaid the frames with gold and made gold rings to hold the crossbars. They also overlaid the crossbars with gold. 
 
35 그가 또 청색 자색 홍색 실과 가늘게 꼰 베 실로 휘장을 짜고 그 위에 그룹들을 정교하게 수 놓고 36 조각목으로 네 기둥을 만들어 금으로 쌌으며 그 갈고리는 금으로 기둥의 네 받침은 은으로 부어 만들었으며 37 청색 자색 홍색 실과 가늘게 꼰 베 실로 수 놓아 장막 문을 위하여 휘장을 만들고 
35 They made the curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim woven into it by a skilled worker. 36 They made four posts of acacia wood for it and overlaid them with gold. They made gold hooks for them and cast their four silver bases. 37 For the entrance to the tent they made a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen—the work of an embroiderer; 
 
38 휘장 문의 기둥 다섯과 그 갈고리를 만들고 기둥 머리와 그 가름대를 금으로 쌌으며 그 다섯 받침은 놋이었더라 
38 and they made five posts with hooks for them. They overlaid the tops of the posts and their bands with gold and made their five bases of bronze.

15 모세가 돌이켜 산에서 내려오는데 두 증거판이 그의 손에 있고 그 판의 양면 이쪽 저쪽에 글자가 있으니 16 그 판은 하나님이 만드신 것이요 글자는 하나님이 쓰셔서 판에 새기신 것이더라 17 여호수아가 백성들의 요란한 소리를 듣고 모세에게 말하되 진중에서 싸우는 소리가 나나이다 
15 Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back. 16 The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets. 17 When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, “There is the sound of war in the camp.” 
 
18 모세가 이르되 이는 승전가도 아니요 패하여 부르짖는 소리도 아니라 내가 듣기에는 노래하는 소리로다 하고 19 진에 가까이 이르러 그 송아지와 그 춤 추는 것들을 보고 크게 노하여 손에서 그 판들을 산 아래로 던져 깨뜨리니라 20 모세가 그들이 만든 송아지를 가져다가 불살라 부수어 가루를 만들어 물에 뿌려 이스라엘 자손에게 마시게 하니라 
18 Moses replied: “It is not the sound of victory, it is not the sound of defeat; it is the sound of singing that I hear.” 19 When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. 20 And he took the calf the people had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it. 
 
21 모세가 아론에게 이르되 이 백성이 당신에게 어떻게 하였기에 당신이 그들을 큰 죄에 빠지게 하였느냐 22 아론이 이르되 내 주여 노하지 마소서 이 백성의 악함을 당신이 아나이다 23 그들이 내게 말하기를 우리를 위하여 우리를 인도할 신을 만들라 이 모세 곧 우리를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 사람은 어찌 되었는지 알 수 없노라 하기에 
21 He said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?” 22 “Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered. “You know how prone these people are to evil. 23 They said to me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’ 
 
24 내가 그들에게 이르기를 금이 있는 자는 빼내라 한즉 그들이 그것을 내게로 가져왔기로 내가 불에 던졌더니 이 송아지가 나왔나이다 25 모세가 본즉 백성이 방자하니 이는 아론이 그들을 방자하게 하여 원수에게 조롱거리가 되게 하였음이라 26 이에 모세가 진 문에 서서 이르되 누구든지 여호와의 편에 있는 자는 내게로 나아오라 하매 레위 자손이 다 모여 그에게로 가는지라 
24 So I told them, ‘Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.’ Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!” 25 Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies. 26 So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, “Whoever is for the LORD, come to me.” And all the Levites rallied to him. 
 
27 모세가 그들에게 이르되 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하시기를 너희는 각각 허리에 칼을 차고 진 이 문에서 저 문까지 왕래하며 각 사람이 그 형제를, 각 사람이 자기의 친구를, 각 사람이 자기의 이웃을 죽이라 하셨느니라 28 레위 자손이 모세의 말대로 행하매 이 날에 백성 중에 삼천 명 가량이 죽임을 당하니라 
27 Then he said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’ ” 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. 
 
29 모세가 이르되 각 사람이 자기의 아들과 자기의 형제를 쳤으니 오늘 여호와께 헌신하게 되었느니라 그가 오늘 너희에게 복을 내리시리라 30 이튿날 모세가 백성에게 이르되 너희가 큰 죄를 범하였도다 내가 이제 여호와께로 올라가노니 혹 너희를 위하여 속죄가 될까 하노라 하고 
29 Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.” 30 The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” 
 
31 모세가 여호와께로 다시 나아가 여짜오되 슬프도소이다 이 백성이 자기들을 위하여 금 신을 만들었사오니 큰 죄를 범하였나이다 32 그러나 이제 그들의 죄를 사하시옵소서 그렇지 아니하시오면 원하건대 주께서 기록하신 책에서 내 이름을 지워 버려 주옵소서 
31 So Moses went back to the LORD and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. 
32 But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.” 
 
33 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 누구든지 내게 범죄하면 내가 내 책에서 그를 지워 버리리라 34 이제 가서 내가 네게 말한 곳으로 백성을 인도하라 내 사자가 네 앞서 가리라 그러나 내가 보응할 날에는 그들의 죄를 보응하리라 35 여호와께서 백성을 치시니 이는 그들이 아론이 만든 바 그 송아지를 만들었음이더라 
33 The LORD replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. 34 Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.” 35 And the LORD struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.

1 누가 지혜자와 같으며 누가 사물의 이치를 아는 자이냐 사람의 지혜는 그의 얼굴에 광채가 나게 하나니 그의 얼굴의 사나운 것이 변하느니라 2 내가 권하노라 왕의 명령을 지키라 이미 하나님을 가리켜 맹세하였음이니라 3 왕 앞에서 물러가기를 급하게 하지 말며 악한 것을 일삼지 말라 왕은 자기가 하고자 하는 것을 다 행함이니라 
1 Who is like the wise? 
 Who knows the explanation of things? 
A person’s wisdom brightens their face 
 and changes its hard appearance. 
 
2 Obey the king’s command, I say, because you took an oath before God. 3 Do not be in a hurry to leave the king’s presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases. 
 
4 왕의 말은 권능이 있나니 누가 그에게 이르기를 왕께서 무엇을 하시나이까 할 수 있으랴 5 명령을 지키는 자는 불행을 알지 못하리라 지혜자의 마음은 때와 판단을 분변하나니 6 무슨 일에든지 때와 판단이 있으므로 사람에게 임하는 화가 심함이니라 
4 Since a king’s word is supreme, who can say to him, “What are you doing?” 
 
5 Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, 
 and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure. 
6 For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, 
 though a person may be weighed down by misery. 
 
7 사람이 장래 일을 알지 못하나니 장래 일을 가르칠 자가 누구이랴 8 바람을 주장하여 바람을 움직이게 할 사람도 없고 죽는 날을 주장할 사람도 없으며 전쟁할 때를 모면할 사람도 없으니 악이 그의 주민들을 건져낼 수는 없느니라 
7 Since no one knows the future, 
 who can tell someone else what is to come? 
8 As no one has power over the wind to contain it, 
 so no one has power over the time of their death. 
As no one is discharged in time of war, 
 so wickedness will not release those who practice it.

1 내가 해 아래에서 한 가지 불행한 일이 있는 것을 보았나니 이는 사람의 마음을 무겁게 하는 것이라 2 어떤 사람은 그의 영혼이 바라는 모든 소원에 부족함이 없어 재물과 부요와 존귀를 하나님께 받았으나 하나님께서 그가 그것을 누리도록 허락하지 아니하셨으므로 다른 사람이 누리나니 이것도 헛되어 악한 병이로다 
1 I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on mankind: 2 God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil. 
 
3 사람이 비록 백 명의 자녀를 낳고 또 장수하여 사는 날이 많을지라도 그의 영혼은 그러한 행복으로 만족하지 못하고 또 그가 안장되지 못하면 나는 이르기를 낙태된 자가 그보다는 낫다 하나니 4 낙태된 자는 헛되이 왔다가 어두운 중에 가매 그의 이름이 어둠에 덮이니 5 햇빛도 보지 못하고 또 그것을 알지도 못하나 이가 그보다 더 평안함이라 
3 A man may have a hundred children and live many years; yet no matter how long he lives, if he cannot enjoy his prosperity and does not receive proper burial, I say that a stillborn child is better off than he. 4 It comes without meaning, it departs in darkness, and in darkness its name is shrouded. 5 Though it never saw the sun or knew anything, it has more rest than does that man— 
 
6 그가 비록 천 년의 갑절을 산다 할지라도 행복을 보지 못하면 마침내 다 한 곳으로 돌아가는 것뿐이 아니냐 7 사람의 수고는 다 자기의 입을 위함이나 그 식욕은 채울 수 없느니라 8 지혜자가 우매자보다 나은 것이 무엇이냐 살아 있는 자들 앞에서 행할 줄을 아는 가난한 자에게는 무슨 유익이 있는가

9 Better what the eye sees 
 than the roving of the appetite. 
This too is meaningless, 
 a chasing after the wind. 
10 Whatever exists has already been named, 
 and what humanity is has been known; 
no one can contend 
 with someone who is stronger. 
 
11 헛된 것을 더하게 하는 많은 일들이 있나니 그것들이 사람에게 무슨 유익이 있으랴 12 헛된 생명의 모든 날을 그림자 같이 보내는 일평생에 사람에게 무엇이 낙인지를 누가 알며 그 후에 해 아래에서 무슨 일이 있을 것을 누가 능히 그에게 고하리요 
11 The more the words, 
 the less the meaning, 
 and how does that profit anyone? 
 
12 For who knows what is good for a person in life, during the few and meaningless days they pass through like a shadow? Who can tell them what will happen under the sun after they are gone?

8 어떤 사람은 아들도 없고 형제도 없이 홀로 있으나 그의 모든 수고에는 끝이 없도다 또 비록 그의 눈은 부요를 족하게 여기지 아니하면서 이르기를 내가 누구를 위하여는 이같이 수고하고 나를 위하여는 행복을 누리지 못하게 하는가 하여도 이것도 헛되어 불행한 노고로다 
8 There was a man all alone; 
 he had neither son nor brother. 
There was no end to his toil, 
 yet his eyes were not content with his wealth. 
“For whom am I toiling,” he asked, 
 “and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?” 
This too is meaningless— 
 a miserable business!

9 Two are better than one, 
 because they have a good return for their labor: 
10 If either of them falls down, 
 one can help the other up. 
But pity anyone who falls 
 and has no one to help them up. 
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. 
 But how can one keep warm alone?

 two can defend themselves.

1 모세의 장인이며 미디안 제사장인 이드로가 하나님이 모세에게와 자기 백성 이스라엘에게 하신 일 곧 여호와께서 이스라엘을 애굽에서 인도하여 내신 모든 일을 들으니라 2 모세의 장인 이드로가 모세가 돌려 보냈던 그의 아내 십보라와 3 그의 두 아들을 데리고 왔으니 그 하나의 이름은 게르솜이라 이는 모세가 이르기를 내가 이방에서 나그네가 되었다 함이요 
1 Now Jethro, the priest of Midian and father-in-law of Moses, heard of everything God had done for Moses and for his people Israel, and how the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt. 2 After Moses had sent away his wife Zipporah, his father-in-law Jethro received her 3 and her two sons. One son was named Gershom, for Moses said, “I have become a foreigner in a foreign land”; 
 
4 하나의 이름은 엘리에셀이라 이는 내 아버지의 하나님이 나를 도우사 바로의 칼에서 구원하셨다 함이더라 5 모세의 장인 이드로가 모세의 아들들과 그의 아내와 더불어 광야에 들어와 모세에게 이르니 곧 모세가 하나님의 산에 진 친 곳이라 6 그가 모세에게 말을 전하되 네 장인 나 이드로가 네 아내와 그와 함께 한 그의 두 아들과 더불어 네게 왔노라 
4 and the other was named Eliezer, for he said, “My father’s God was my helper; he saved me from the sword of Pharaoh.” 5 Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, together with Moses’ sons and wife, came to him in the wilderness, where he was camped near the mountain of God. 6 Jethro had sent word to him, “I, your father-in-law Jethro, am coming to you with your wife and her two sons.” 
 
7 모세가 나가서 그의 장인을 맞아 절하고 그에게 입 맞추고 그들이 서로 문안하고 함께 장막에 들어가서 8 모세가 여호와께서 이스라엘을 위하여 바로와 애굽 사람에게 행하신 모든 일과 길에서 그들이 당한 모든 고난과 여호와께서 그들을 구원하신 일을 다 그 장인에게 말하매 
7 So Moses went out to meet his father-in-law and bowed down and kissed him. They greeted each other and then went into the tent. 8 Moses told his father-in-law about everything the LORD had done to Pharaoh and the Egyptians for Israel’s sake and about all the hardships they had met along the way and how the LORD had saved them. 
 
9 이드로가 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 큰 은혜를 베푸사 애굽 사람의 손에서 구원하심을 기뻐하여 10 이드로가 이르되 여호와를 찬송하리로다 너희를 애굽 사람의 손에서와 바로의 손에서 건져내시고 백성을 애굽 사람의 손 아래에서 건지셨도다 
9 Jethro was delighted to hear about all the good things the LORD had done for Israel in rescuing them from the hand of the Egyptians. 10 He said, “Praise be to the LORD, who rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and of Pharaoh, and who rescued the people from the hand of the Egyptians. 
 
11 이제 내가 알았도다 여호와는 모든 신보다 크시므로 이스라엘에게 교만하게 행하는 그들을 이기셨도다 하고 12 모세의 장인 이드로가 번제물과 희생제물들을 하나님께 가져오매 아론과 이스라엘 모든 장로가 와서 모세의 장인과 함께 하나님 앞에서 떡을 먹으니라 
11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly.” 12 Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, brought a burnt offering and other sacrifices to God, and Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat a meal with Moses’ father-in-law in the presence of God.

18 And when they measured it by the omer, the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed. 19 Then Moses said to them, “No one is to keep any of it until morning.” 20 However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. 
 
21 무리가 아침마다 각 사람은 먹을 만큼만 거두었고 햇볕이 뜨겁게 쬐면 그것이 스러졌더라 22 여섯째 날에는 각 사람이 갑절의 식물 곧 하나에 두 오멜씩 거둔지라 회중의 모든 지도자가 와서 모세에게 알리매 
21 Each morning everyone gathered as much as they needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away. 22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much—two omers for each person—and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses. 
 
23 모세가 그들에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내일은 휴일이니 여호와께 거룩한 안식일이라 너희가 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶고 그 나머지는 다 너희를 위하여 아침까지 간수하라 24 그들이 모세의 명령대로 아침까지 간수하였으나 냄새도 나지 아니하고 벌레도 생기지 아니한지라 
23 He said to them, “This is what the LORD commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’ ” 24 So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it. 
 
25 모세가 이르되 오늘은 그것을 먹으라 오늘은 여호와의 안식일인즉 오늘은 너희가 들에서 그것을 얻지 못하리라 26 엿새 동안은 너희가 그것을 거두되 일곱째 날은 안식일인즉 그 날에는 없으리라 하였으나 27 일곱째 날에 백성 중 어떤 사람들이 거두러 나갔다가 얻지 못하니라 
25 “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today. 26 Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.” 27 Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. 
 
28 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 어느 때까지 너희가 내 계명과 내 율법을 지키지 아니하려느냐 29 볼지어다 여호와가 너희에게 안식일을 줌으로 여섯째 날에는 이틀 양식을 너희에게 주는 것이니 너희는 각기 처소에 있고 일곱째 날에는 아무도 그의 처소에서 나오지 말지니라 30 그러므로 백성이 일곱째 날에 안식하니라 
28 Then the LORD said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? 29 Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day. 
 
31 이스라엘 족속이 그 이름을 만나라 하였으며 깟씨 같이 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자 같았더라 32 모세가 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 명령하시기를 이것을 오멜에 채워서 너희의 대대 후손을 위하여 간수하라 이는 내가 너희를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낼 때에 광야에서 너희에게 먹인 양식을 그들에게 보이기 위함이니라 하셨다 하고 
31 The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. 32 Moses said, “This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the wilderness when I brought you out of Egypt.’ ” 
 
33 또 모세가 아론에게 이르되 항아리를 가져다가 그 속에 만나 한 오멜을 담아 여호와 앞에 두어 너희 대대로 간수하라 34 아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 그것을 증거판 앞에 두어 간수하게 하였고 35 사람이 사는 땅에 이르기까지 이스라엘 자손이 사십 년 동안 만나를 먹었으니 곧 가나안 땅 접경에 이르기까지 그들이 만나를 먹었더라 36 오멜은 십분의 일 에바이더라 
33 So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come.” 34 As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna with the tablets of the covenant law, so that it might be preserved. 35 The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan. 36 (An omer is one-tenth of an ephah.)

1 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 엘림에서 떠나 엘림과 시내 산 사이에 있는 신 광야에 이르니 애굽에서 나온 후 둘째 달 십오일이라 2 이스라엘 자손 온 회중이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 원망하여 3 이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 고기 가마 곁에 앉아 있던 때와 떡을 배불리 먹던 때에 여호와의 손에 죽었더라면 좋았을 것을 너희가 이 광야로 우리를 인도해 내어 이 온 회중이 주려 죽게 하는도다 
1 The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt. 2 In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. 3 The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.” 
 
4 그 때에 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 보라 내가 너희를 위하여 하늘에서 양식을 비 같이 내리리니 백성이 나가서 일용할 것을 날마다 거둘 것이라 이같이 하여 그들이 내 율법을 준행하나 아니하나 내가 시험하리라 5 여섯째 날에는 그들이 그 거둔 것을 준비할지니 날마다 거두던 것의 갑절이 되리라 
4 Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. 5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.” 
 
6 모세와 아론이 온 이스라엘 자손에게 이르되 저녁이 되면 너희가 여호와께서 너희를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내셨음을 알 것이요 7 아침에는 너희가 여호와의 영광을 보리니 이는 여호와께서 너희가 자기를 향하여 원망함을 들으셨음이라 우리가 누구이기에 너희가 우리에게 대하여 원망하느냐 
6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, “In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt, 7 and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?” 
 
8 모세가 또 이르되 여호와께서 저녁에는 너희에게 고기를 주어 먹이시고 아침에는 떡으로 배불리시리니 이는 여호와께서 자기를 향하여 너희가 원망하는 그 말을 들으셨음이라 우리가 누구냐 너희의 원망은 우리를 향하여 함이 아니요 여호와를 향하여 함이로다 
8 Moses also said, “You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD.” 
 
9 모세가 또 아론에게 이르되 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하기를 여호와께 가까이 나아오라 여호와께서 너희의 원망함을 들으셨느니라 하라 10 아론이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하매 그들이 광야를 바라보니 여호와의 영광이 구름 속에 나타나더라 
9 Then Moses told Aaron, “Say to the entire Israelite community, ‘Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.’ ” 10 While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud. 
 
11 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 12 내가 이스라엘 자손의 원망함을 들었노라 그들에게 말하여 이르기를 너희가 해 질 때에는 고기를 먹고 아침에는 떡으로 배부르리니 내가 여호와 너희의 하나님인 줄 알리라 하라 하시니라 13 저녁에는 메추라기가 와서 진에 덮이고 아침에는 이슬이 진 주위에 있더니 
11 The LORD said to Moses, 12 “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.’ ” 13 That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. 
 
14 그 이슬이 마른 후에 광야 지면에 작고 둥글며 서리 같이 가는 것이 있는지라 15 이스라엘 자손이 보고 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못하여 서로 이르되 이것이 무엇이냐 하니 모세가 그들에게 이르되 이는 여호와께서 너희에게 주어 먹게 하신 양식이라 
14 When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. 15 When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, “It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.

1 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 바로에게 가서 그에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 내 백성을 보내라 그들이 나를 섬길 것이니라 2 네가 만일 보내기를 거절하면 내가 개구리로 너의 온 땅을 치리라 3 개구리가 나일 강에서 무수히 생기고 올라와서 네 궁과 네 침실과 네 침상 위와 네 신하의 집과 네 백성과 네 화덕과 네 떡 반죽 그릇에 들어갈 것이며 
1 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. 2 If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. 3 The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs. 
 
4 개구리가 너와 네 백성과 네 모든 신하에게 기어오르리라 하셨다 하라 5 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 아론에게 명령하기를 네 지팡이를 잡고 네 팔을 강들과 운하들과 못 위에 펴서 개구리들이 애굽 땅에 올라오게 하라 할지니라 6 아론이 애굽 물들 위에 그의 손을 내밀매 개구리가 올라와서 애굽 땅에 덮이니 
4 The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’ ” 5 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’ ” 6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land. 
 
7 요술사들도 자기 요술대로 그와 같이 행하여 개구리가 애굽 땅에 올라오게 하였더라 8 바로가 모세와 아론을 불러 이르되 여호와께 구하여 나와 내 백성에게서 개구리를 떠나게 하라 내가 이 백성을 보내리니 그들이 여호와께 제사를 드릴 것이니라 
7 But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts; they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt. 8 Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the LORD to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD.” 
 
9 모세가 바로에게 이르되 내가 왕과 왕의 신하와 왕의 백성을 위하여 이 개구리를 왕과 왕궁에서 끊어 나일 강에만 있도록 언제 간구하는 것이 좋을는지 내게 분부하소서 10 그가 이르되 내일이니라 모세가 이르되 왕의 말씀대로 하여 왕에게 우리 하나님 여호와와 같은 이가 없는 줄을 알게 하리니 
9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.” 10 “Tomorrow,” Pharaoh said. Moses replied, “It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the LORD our God. 
 
11 개구리가 왕과 왕궁과 왕의 신하와 왕의 백성을 떠나서 나일 강에만 있으리이다 하고 12 모세와 아론이 바로를 떠나 나가서 바로에게 내리신 개구리에 대하여 모세가 여호와께 간구하매 13 여호와께서 모세의 말대로 하시니 개구리가 집과 마당과 밭에서부터 나와서 죽은지라 
11 The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.” 12 After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the LORD about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh. 13 And the LORD did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields. 
 
14 사람들이 모아 무더기로 쌓으니 땅에서 악취가 나더라 15 그러나 바로가 숨을 쉴 수 있게 됨을 보았을 때에 그의 마음을 완강하게 하여 그들의 말을 듣지 아니하였으니 여호와께서 말씀하신 것과 같더라 
14 They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.

1 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. 2 If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. 3 The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs.

These were the Korahite clans. 25 Eleazar son of Aaron married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the Levite families, clan by clan.

26 It was this Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, “Bring the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.” 27 They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing the Israelites out of Egypt—this same Moses and Aaron. 28 Now when the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt, 
 
29 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 나는 여호와라 내가 네게 이르는 바를 너는 애굽 왕 바로에게 다 말하라 30 모세가 여호와 앞에서 아뢰되 나는 입이 둔한 자이오니 바로가 어찌 나의 말을 들으리이까 
29 he said to him, “I am the LORD. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.” 30 But Moses said to the LORD, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?” 
 
7.1 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 볼지어다 내가 너를 바로에게 신 같이 되게 하였은즉 네 형 아론은 네 대언자가 되리니 2 내가 네게 명령한 바를 너는 네 형 아론에게 말하고 그는 바로에게 말하여 그에게 이스라엘 자손을 그 땅에서 내보내게 할지니라 
7.1 Then the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. 2 You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 
 
3 내가 바로의 마음을 완악하게 하고 내 표징과 내 이적을 애굽 땅에서 많이 행할 것이나 4 바로가 너희의 말을 듣지 아니할 터인즉 내가 내 손을 애굽에 뻗쳐 여러 큰 심판을 내리고 내 군대, 내 백성 이스라엘 자손을 그 땅에서 인도하여 낼지라 
3 But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt, 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites. 
 
5 내가 내 손을 애굽 위에 펴서 이스라엘 자손을 그 땅에서 인도하여 낼 때에야 애굽 사람이 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라 하시매 6 모세와 아론이 여호와께서 자기들에게 명령하신 대로 행하였더라 7 그들이 바로에게 말할 때에 모세는 팔십 세였고 아론은 팔십삼 세였더라 
5 And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.” 6 Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD commanded them. 7 Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.

5.22 모세가 여호와께 돌아와서 아뢰되 주여 어찌하여 이 백성이 학대를 당하게 하셨나이까 어찌하여 나를 보내셨나이까 23 내가 바로에게 들어가서 주의 이름으로 말한 후로부터 그가 이 백성을 더 학대하며 주께서도 주의 백성을 구원하지 아니하시나이다 
5.22 Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me? 23 Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all.”

3 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 전능의 하나님으로 나타났으나 나의 이름을 여호와로는 그들에게 알리지 아니하였고 4 가나안 땅 곧 그들이 거류하는 땅을 그들에게 주기로 그들과 언약하였더니 5 이제 애굽 사람이 종으로 삼은 이스라엘 자손의 신음 소리를 내가 듣고 나의 언약을 기억하노라 
3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself fully known to them. 4 I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners. 5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant. 
 
6 그러므로 이스라엘 자손에게 말하기를 나는 여호와라 내가 애굽 사람의 무거운 짐 밑에서 너희를 빼내며 그들의 노역에서 너희를 건지며 편 팔과 여러 큰 심판들로써 너희를 속량하여 7 너희를 내 백성으로 삼고 나는 너희의 하나님이 되리니 나는 애굽 사람의 무거운 짐 밑에서 너희를 빼낸 너희의 하나님 여호와인 줄 너희가 알지라 
6 “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.

8 And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD.’ ” 9 Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor. 
 
10 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 11 들어가서 애굽 왕 바로에게 말하여 이스라엘 자손을 그 땅에서 내보내게 하라 12 모세가 여호와 앞에 아뢰어 이르되 이스라엘 자손도 내 말을 듣지 아니하였거든 바로가 어찌 들으리이까 나는 입이 둔한 자니이다 
10 Then the LORD said to Moses, 11 “Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.” 12 But Moses said to the LORD, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?” 
 
13 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하사 그들로 이스라엘 자손과 애굽 왕 바로에게 명령을 전하고 이스라엘 자손을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내게 하시니라

4 Then the LORD said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand. 5 “This,” said the LORD, “is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”

6 Then the LORD said, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous—it had become as white as snow. 7 “Now put it back into your cloak,” he said. So Moses put his hand back into his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his flesh. 
 
8 여호와께서 이르시되 만일 그들이 너를 믿지 아니하며 그 처음 표적의 표징을 받지 아니하여도 나중 표적의 표징은 믿으리라 9 그들이 이 두 이적을 믿지 아니하며 네 말을 듣지 아니하거든 너는 나일 강 물을 조금 떠다가 땅에 부으라 네가 떠온 나일 강 물이 땅에서 피가 되리라 
8 Then the LORD said, “If they do not believe you or pay attention to the first sign, they may believe the second. 9 But if they do not believe these two signs or listen to you, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. The water you take from the river will become blood on the ground.”

17 ‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept. 18 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said. 
 
19 요셉이 그들에게 이르되 두려워하지 마소서 내가 하나님을 대신하리이까 20 당신들은 나를 해하려 하였으나 하나님은 그것을 선으로 바꾸사 오늘과 같이 많은 백성의 생명을 구원하게 하시려 하셨나니 21 당신들은 두려워하지 마소서 내가 당신들과 당신들의 자녀를 기르리이다 하고 그들을 간곡한 말로 위로하였더라 
19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. 21 So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. 
 
22 요셉이 그의 아버지의 가족과 함께 애굽에 거주하여 백십 세를 살며 23 에브라임의 자손 삼대를 보았으며 므낫세의 아들 마길의 아들들도 요셉의 슬하에서 양육되었더라 24 요셉이 그의 형제들에게 이르되 나는 죽을 것이나 하나님이 당신들을 돌보시고 당신들을 이 땅에서 인도하여 내사 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하신 땅에 이르게 하시리라 하고 
22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years 23 and saw the third generation of Ephraim’s children. Also the children of Makir son of Manasseh were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees. 24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” 
 
25 요셉이 또 이스라엘 자손에게 맹세시켜 이르기를 하나님이 반드시 당신들을 돌보시리니 당신들은 여기서 내 해골을 메고 올라가겠다 하라 하였더라 26 요셉이 백십 세에 죽으매 그들이 그의 몸에 향 재료를 넣고 애굽에서 입관하였더라 
25 And Joseph made the Israelites swear an oath and said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place.” 26 So Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten. And after they embalmed him, he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?” 16 So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions before he died:

17 너희는 이같이 요셉에게 이르라 네 형들이 네게 악을 행하였을지라도 이제 바라건대 그들의 허물과 죄를 용서하라 하셨나니 당신 아버지의 하나님의 종들인 우리 죄를 이제 용서하소서 하매 요셉이 그들이 그에게 하는 말을 들을 때에 울었더라 18 그의 형들이 또 친히 와서 요셉의 앞에 엎드려 이르되 우리는 당신의 종들이니이다
