South CLT Pres seeks to make followers of Christ who honor him in all things, love people well, and impact the community and the world with the gospel so that Christ’s joy may be in us and our joy may be full (John 15:11). What is something you have worked to restore in your life? Maybe it was a classic car, a piece of furniture, a friendship, clothing, the list goes on. Chances are you have tried to do something with an item that looked ruined or broken, in order to bring it back to its original form. New Life || Ezekiel 36:1-38 || Pastor Josh Creason

Drinking from spring water at the foothills of the Andes is not the same as drinking water from a pipe out of the sewer. Likewise, the fruit of a well-labored orchard is not the same as one that has been neglected. We often obsess over results in our world but it is also worthwhile to look at the source. As we contrast the fruits of the Spirit with the works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-25, we will see the difference between a life that walks with Jesus and is transformed by the Holy Spirit (where we are being led) with a life that continues to follow in its desires (where we come from).

But, the truth is that we have a festive God that loves to see his people rejoicing and celebrating as he brings restoration to their lives. This week we will look at how God restores this spirit of celebration among his people as they rediscover his law, and how are we to rejoice over the ultimate restoration that is in Christ.

We bump up against one another in different ways and real community can be hard to come by sometimes. We come this Sunday to worship the Lord who is doing the work of gathering a people for himself, who are centered upon Christ. We are the one body of Christ who are uniquely unified in Christ. That is what bonds us as a body. Come this Sunday to worship as we look at the God who gathers his people together, calling us to live as beloved children of our heavenly Father.

God gives more laws to His covenant people, the nation of Israel, related to worship. God reminds us that we owe Him our worship. The most important thing we will do this week is worship God. Hear from God's word and to bring Him a sacrifice of praise.

Would you assume that if a parent, boss or coach gave you more rules that he or she was caring for you? You may be tempted to think that they are trying to control you and get their own way. God cares greatly for his people. He cares about the details of our daily lives. So much so that he gave these laws in Exodus 20-23 so he could help his people apply the ten commandments to their daily life. Come join us this Sunday as we look at this passage and ask the question, 'How are we to live out the law as his holy people?'
