He is constantly at work in our lives, even when we are doing little things. When He asks you to do something, do you hide from Him or tell Him that you can't do it?    Even when we doubt ourselves, He delights in us, giving us what we need to perform tasks,  and calls us loved, redeemed,  His child !

What Does God Call You?  Judges 6:11-15

Continuing with a series of messages on angels, Dr. Jon Morris delivers this message from 1 Peter 5.  Satan is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  We are either prey or protected.  The choice is ours.  Are you going to be prey for Satan, or protected from Satan.  This message looks at the area of mentoring, disciplining,  humility, and complete trust in God.  Don't be caught sleeping.  Be alert and ready.  The subtlety of Satan is hard to detect.  We need to plan to remain firm and rely on God, the Word of God, and fellow believers.

One man, Joash, was assigned an underground job that was unnoticed and without recognition.  As keeper of the stores of olive oil, his job was not the best.  But he was faithful in serving the king.  As a parallel, we are called to certain vocations.  We might think it is trivial, unnoticed (except when things go bad), and not pleasant.  But we need to realize that as Christians we are serving King Jesus through our vocations and things He asks us to do.  You are important to God.  God loves you and cares about you!

You can rest in the assurance and confidence that in Jesus' hands you are safe and secure.  He knows what is going on in your life. He is the only one who can provide security.

The enemy wants you to be without peace.  Satan wants you down, discouraged, disturbed, depressed, and defeated.  Satan wants you to be stressed out and haunted by your past.  When the peace of God anchors in our souls, we are anchored.  God's peace gives us a firm grip in a world that has no peace, is insane, and unstable.  Do you have that peace?
