31 Just then some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “Go away from here and hide. Herod wants to kill you!” 
32 Jesus said to them, “Go tell that fox,[b] ‘Today and tomorrow I am forcing demons out of people and finishing my work of healing. Then, the next day, the work will be finished.’ 
33 After that I must go, because all prophets should die in Jerusalem. 
34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets. You stone to death the people God has sent to you. How many times I wanted to help your people. I wanted to gather them together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you did not let me.

For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 
 
With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. 2. New announcement regarding live-streaming service The English service continues in-person worship in the sanctuary and live-stream worship concurrently, starting at 11:00am. Please continue to beseech our Lord to grant us mercy in our land. We also with faith look in hope to our Lord who saves us to the end.

combine service of Lunar new year on 2/7/2020.

"When God gives up on them" - Most of us would run from a death threat but Jesus says the cross will be the completion of his work. In terms of Luke’s big question about why some enter the kingdom and some don’t, the door is narrow because it is cross-shaped. Those who think they are ‘first’ are excluded by their self-sufficient pride whereas those seen as ‘last’ can enter because Jesus died in their place.
