VERSE OF THE DAY: And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."—Mark 1:11 
 
The Book of Mark—assuming the reader has understood the immaculate conception of Jesus and his early childhood—begins abruptly with John the Baptist, Jesus' baptism, and His temptation in the wilderness. In this passage, we focus today on Jesus' baptism and His Father's booming, exuberant response in Mark 1:11 when Jesus obeys Him! 
 
REFLECTION: Listen to the Right Voice

Bible Time with Mark & Cori began as our personal Bible reading time together. As we continued to read and study together, the Lord began nudging us toward sharing our daily Bible time with the faithful community that He has been building up around us.

We stepped out in obedience, and Bible Time with Mark & Cori was born. Inviting our faithful friends to join us on this journey has become the most special time of our day. We are not theologians or teachers, we are simply lovers of Christ who want to learn more about Him and make Him #1 in our lives.

Being intentional about our time with the Lord has opened our hearts to His Word and His leading in our personal lives as well as the direction He desires for our business. It has been humbling and inspiring to have a front row seat to what God is doing in the lives of our friends as well. To say that this has been transformational is an understatement!

In Elisha’s time, Samaria was under siege and starving.----and there were 4 lepers at the city gate---faced with an impossible situation -----2 Ki 7:3-4 Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, “Why stay here until we die? 4 If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’—the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.”

We invite you to come along with us in 2022—and listen and read along—as we read through God’s Word verse by verse and chapter by chapter this year! Our reading will only require  approximately 15 minutes per day! Most certainly, we will see many blessings that will come from reading and listening to God’s Word on a daily basis this year.  We will be reading from the New Living Translation (NLT) and following a chronological reading schedule of the Bible, which places the events of the Bible in a timeline of when they occurred. You can join any time during the year. Let’s grow strong in the Lord through our investment into God's Word this year!

God has brought The Brooklyn Tabernacle from a handful of members in a small rundown building in a difficult area, to a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees. Pastor Cymbala and his wife Carol, who directs the popular Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, have been used by the Lord not only to preach the Gospel in the inner city of New York, but also to see new churches grow out of the congregation across New York, as well as domestically and internationally. The ministry of the Church has from the outset reached out to the cross-cultural melting pot of New York City. It is comprised of men, women, and children of all ethnic and national origins. However, central to the growth and expansion of the Church has been the continual emphasis on prayer, from the Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting that is attended by thousands to the Prayer Band, members of the Church devoted to boldly "calling on the Lord" for needs from around the world.
