God works in our lives with our relationship with others as mentors and mentees. As Elisha prayed for his servant to see the power of God with them. This lesson continues the theme that true freedom by God is freedom with reparations. This gives everyone true restoration. Our US government had an order (Sherman's order no.15) and decree (Republican Congress passed laws 1866) just like the decree of Cyrus and Darius for freedom with reparations. However, unlike the US that never executed the order and vetoed the law (President Johnson 1866), Cyrus and Darius made sure that Federal and State governments of their empires paid reparations to the freed Jews for the rebuilding/restoration of God's house/temple. This freedom and reparations in our lesson was used to allow the people of God to worship but also pray to support the king and those around him. This is why it is important for revealed religions of the world (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity) to require this nation and other nations of the world to pay reparations to African Americans and the African slavery diaspora for race based slavery. Then prays can be made for the saving and sustaining of those in leadership from a truly free people of God. Because, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

The judicial system of every nation is under God and is judged by God. God will give the final sentence on that nation or people judging four categories of their Justice and Judgement: 1. Give just judgement 2. do not prolong, cause to yield, or bend away judgement 3. Do not have respect of person in judgement 4. Do not take bribery for judgement. 
 
Do what is altogether right and the nation and people will live. Do unjust judgement, wrest judgement, have respect of person, and take bribery for judgement, your nation and people will die.

Yet like the prophets of Baal and Asteroth we continue to put the stumbling blocks and barriers in the way of our relationship with God serving our three main gods: Me, Myself, and I. Just like Elijah mocked the prophets of Baal, we are mock by our talking; not listening to Gods voice, our pursuing; not letting God lead us (psalms 23), our journeys; not having a destination to God, and being asleep; not awaking to the love and the spirit of God in us.

Mothers (the mother role) have the major influence on a child's life. They are the first educators of a child and they have the most social interactions with a child. Even the single parent role of mother, the role of educator and social behavior teacher will influence how a child matures. Solomon had married an Ammonite and his son Rehoboam came to the throne. The issue was not that he married an Ammonite. The issue was Rehoboam's mother worshiped idol gods and in that religion homosexuality and sodomy was practiced. Both (homosexuality and sodomy) are not physically correct, and are not naturally correct. The physical parts do not work and the practice does not yield to any natural acts in the cycle of life or creation. Because Rehoboam accepting the religion of homosexuality and sodomy, God was envious to punishment where again an African Kingdom was used to show how our relationship can degenerate from Gold to Brass. That's when what is left in our spiritual life is only used as ceremony and is not a true spiritual relationship with God. We ceremoniously go to church but then put everything back in the closet of our minds and hearts until the next time. This is the symbolism of the Gold Shields taken by the Egyptian Pharaoh and replaced by the brass shields taken out for ceremony only and put back under guard.

God will forgive, reconcile, and restore us if we repent and accept accountability and responsibility of our sins. When we have leadership that will not accept, recognize, and repent, there will be both personal consequence, and consequence on the people they lead.

Our heart must be towards God and our ear must be toward hearing the word of God. Only when he finally listened to the word of God not the fight against his brothers did he had the opportunity for peace and change. God is a God of addition and multiplication and not subtraction and division. In dividing the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah because of the King's sins (Solomon), he was preserving them and keeping his promises/covenants in spite of their unfaithfulness to both promises/covenants.
